中科院合肥物质科学研究院副院长兼等离子体物理研究所所长/研究员/博导。

先后在美国麻省理工、日本 JAEA 等著名机构从事磁约束聚变研究, 主持或参与国家级科研项目近 20 项。围绕国家大科学工程 EAST 装置进行科学与技术研究,承担并完成 ITER 大型极向场超导磁体、超导馈线系统、高温超导电流引线等。

荣获“国家杰出青年基金”、中国工程院“光华工程科技奖青年奖”、国际 “聚变核技术杰出贡献奖”、2016 年和 2018 年“安徽省科技进步一等奖(第一完成人)”,国家“万人计划”领军人才入选者、科技部 “中青年科技创新领军人才计划”入选者、“中国青年科技奖”和“中国青年五四奖章”获得者和 “新 世纪百千万人才工程”国家级人选,是 2007 年安徽省科技进步一等奖、2008 年国家科学技术进步一等奖和 2013 年国家科学技术进步奖的重要成员。

发表 SCI 和 EI 收录的学术论文 100 多篇,申请专利 60 多项,已授权 42 项,软件著作权 5 项,参与制定聚变标准 10 余项,出版英文专著和中文专著各一部。
